Hmmm, that’s an odd one. I think the easiest option would be to go to your host and ask them to do a ‘roll back’. Most hosts save your site at x amount of times a day, so you can choose to go back to the site the way it was a day/week/2 weeks ago. If you know roughly when you made the edit, go back to just before then and all should be back up and running as it was before.

If you can’t do the above and you manually edited something in the htaccess file previously, clear the edits you made and resave or replace with the standard WP htaccess.
