After trying everything in the book as far as I could see, I went backwards. I realised because of the inactivity of links within the admin dashboard, I hadn’t actually been able to verify what version of the theme I was on. I also couldn’t perform an update via WP itself either for the same reasons. I therefore did a manual update via an FTP client and crossed my fingers once it had uploaded…. TA-DA!!!!

I am back in business and have just completed all the change published dates I needed to do and added all the new posts I needed to. Happy boy am I – even if an amateur!
